Our printers never require a network connection. Configure the printer, slice models, and install firmware updates offline without sacrificing any features or performance.
For environments requiring strict security, the Wi-Fi module can be physically removed. Government agencies, high-clearance manufacturing, and companies handling sensitive data can operate with the absolute guarantee that the printer will never share a single byte of data with any cloud infrastructure.
We also offer a special Critical Infrastructure editions of our printers, designed for facilities with strict security protocols: zero Wi-Fi circuitry, no built-in cameras, and a certified, encrypted USB drive.

A printer does not need an account. Slice to USB, update firmware offline, and leave Connect off. The Wi-Fi module can be unplugged on current CORE One and XL machines.

Compliance
Printers for the EU market ship with a Declaration of Conformity. Country of origin is in the product passport for that model.
RoHS, REACH, TSCA, and WEEE registrations are available for a named product.
Indoor emissions testing (UL 2904 / GREENGUARD) has been used for the MK4 and MK4S with Prusament PLA or PETG.
Prusa and Prusa USA are a TAA-compliant supplier. Machines are designed and built in the EU and the US, including PCB production in Prague.

Over 10,000 printers leave every month. We maintain full control over our manufacturing and supply chain. The same process on both sides of the ocean. The vast majority of parts are sourced from the EU. US orders may invoice through Prusa USA.
Buying in the United States
TAA, Section 889, and FY2026 Section 849.
- Prusa and Prusa USA are a TAA-compliant supplier for GSA and US federal procurement, including purchase orders and tax-exempt accounts.
- Section 889 (FY2019 NDAA) is the US federal rule on certain telecommunications and video surveillance equipment. A representation is available for a federal purchase.
- FY2026 NDAA Section 849 bars the Department of Defense from procuring or operating additive manufacturing systems that are manufactured in, have software developed in, or are networked through China, Russia, Iran, or North Korea. The prohibition is expected around December 2026.
- Designed and manufactured by Prusa Research in Prague, Czech Republic. The Czech Republic is not a covered nation.
- CORE One+ and MK4S are assembled in the USA at the Wilmington, Delaware facility (about 100,000 sq ft), with US-based repair and fulfillment.
- Firmware and PrusaSlicer are published as open-source. Printers run fully offline on a LAN. No vendor cloud is required. PrusaLink can stay on the local network.
- Select Prusament PLA and PETG lines are manufactured in the USA.
